A Letter from Dr. Abrahamian...
Dear IQ Dental,
It is with great gratitude I'm writing this letter to you.
I was planning a trip to Armenia in August of 2014, as well planning to go there and work in a clinic, teach preventive care and treat patients at no charge. When I approached you to purchase some items for this purpose, you were very kind and generous and donated all the items I asked for.
The clinic that I worked is in a remote city 2 hours away from the capital. The dental office at first glance looked very modern, but was in fact very primitive. A lot of the equipment was not working or not completely functional for example the suction was not functional, and one highspeed handpiece and the turbine needed desperately to be replaced. There was no slowspeed handpiece at all, but I was able to donate a Star to them. They were very short on supplies--no lead apron for taking x-rays, only one matrix band and no matrix retainer.
I saw many patients, did root canal treatments, fillings and many complete exams, charting and cleanings. I trained the dentists on preventive care. A lot more needs to be done and I am planning to go back next summer.
Thank you again for your generosity.
Dr Teny Abrahamian
